This begins as a text conversation with my cousin on nice guys finishing last. I told him I disagree stupid guys finish last or nice guys that are attracted to horrid bitches. So while guys tend to think that they're in the friend zone for just being too nice, I've never heard a woman say anything close to this, they usually have reasons in multiples, here's a few.
You are boring: If your phone convos are dry as hell, she responds to your texts with one word or letter in most cases, then chances are you're boring. She keeps you around to listen when no one else answers the phone or be the reasonable guy when some other asshole hurts her. Chances are you had a couple of opportunities to get the goods on what she finds interesting in a man & you're ignoring it.
Hygiene health issues: c'mon brush she offered you gum every time you see her, or she keeps telling you to come work out with her. If she's into healthy eating you might not wanna order the double bacon burger when kickin it with her.
Overly respectful: kinda like being boring, calling a chic you wanna sleep with " young lady" & dancing three feet away like its the sixth grade dance, isn't the look. Even the most earthy & womanist of us low key wanna know you can pull hair & not stutter during dirty talk.
Punk Shit: you let dude in line in front of you at the movies totally punk you, she saw through your high road claim. Plus you cried when watching the Notebook.
You Talk to Much: Number one in my book, you've told her about exes & way too many reasons she shouldn't like you. Don't mention you love a girl you can dutch oven. I've even heard the literal " you would never be interested in someone like me" ---Not with that attitude, homeboy. Self-deprecating humor can be super funny, but if it doesn't come off as funny it looks like she'll have to rub your ego for your entire relationship.
Interview guy: probably not true of most women but I def get sick of interview dude, what do you want it of life, what do you find attractive? ----- homie I just wanna chill kick it
Sometimes it's just bad timing, you came in at a time friend was the only option & now she's just used to that. Sometimes there really isn't enough chemistry, & you're too focused on the challenge to see it. I do believe that the right party/ night/ alcohol can change all of it. Good luck
